We are a young and ambitious MedTech/Deeptech startup, located in Delft. Our team is developing an advanced sensor based on diffusing-wave spectroscopy (DWS). Our sensor not only captures traditional photoplethysmography (PPG) data but also provides a unique blood flow index (BFi). This opens new possibilities for monitoring of vital parameters.
We form a close and informal team with large ambitions and a diverse skill set. We operate in a flat organizational structure where both professionalism and a friendly atmosphere are key.
How you will make an impact:
– Develop and refine (machine-learning based) algorithms using our sensors signals to advance remote health monitoring.
– Analyze statistical data to assess algorithm performance and optimize for real-time applications.
– Design experiments to validate algorithms with clinical and real-world data.
– Collaborate with software engineers to ensure seamless integration and efficiency.
– Collaborate and discuss with other algorithm developers to ensure best practices and optimal performance.
– Document findings and contribute to scientific publications.
What we are looking for:
– Education: Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
– Algorithm Expertise: 3+ years of experience in developing and optimizing machine learning algorithms for medical technology, with strong statistical analysis skills.
– Clinical data experience is a plus.
– Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python.
– Collaborative Approach: Ability to work across teams, including software engineers, clinicians, and regulatory experts, to ensure smooth integration and compliance.
– Leadership & Mentorship: Fostering a culture of innovation, teaching best practices.
– Effective Communication: Strong documentation skills and experience contributing to scientific publications.
– Passion for Innovation: Commitment to advancing healthcare technology through cutting-edge algorithm development.
